Keep Going: You Were Built for This Weight

Track 4 on The Human Algorithm is a system voice that logs your lowest moment and keeps running. Keep Going is not motivational. It admits the weight before it says anything about carrying it.

Keep Going opens with a machine reading your vitals back to you while you are barely holding on.

Player status: active. Energy reserves: declining. Timeline: compressing. The intro is cold on purpose. Most songs about pushing through get warm too fast. They rush to comfort you. This one refuses.

The weight is real. That was the rule for the whole track. I was not going to write a motivational poster set to a beat. No “you got this,” no easy sunrise. The song had to admit the load before it earned the right to talk about carrying it.

Pain is just data

There is a line in the first verse. Pain is just data, the mission is real. That is the thesis. Not that the pain is fake. That it is information, not a verdict. The system logs it and keeps running. You are allowed to hurt and continue in the same breath.

That reframe took me years to learn off the page. I used to read every hard day as proof I was doing something wrong. The failure meant stop. Keep Going flips it. Every failure a feature, not a flaw in the run. The struggle is not the glitch. The struggle is the design.

The bridge is the real song

Everything builds to eight lines in the middle. We have logged your resistance. We have logged your descent. We have logged every moment you considered the end. And continued.

I sat with that section longer than anything else on the track. It names the thing nobody says out loud. There were moments you thought about quitting. Not dramatically. Quietly, on an ordinary day, you wondered if it was worth it. Then you got up.

That is not failure data. That is the algorithm running exactly as designed. The continuing was never the exception. It was always the point.

What I still cannot answer

I do not know where the capacity comes from. I say you were built for this weight with full conviction in the chorus, and a part of me still asks who did the building. Whether the strength was always there or gets forged in the carrying. I wrote a whole song around the certainty and I am still not certain.

You do not have to understand the engine to keep the car moving.

What Keep Going knows

The song never promises the weight gets lighter. It promises you are still standing under it, which is its own kind of proof.

If you got up today and nobody saw what it cost, this one logged it. You are not done. You were never done.
